This morning, reading through Mark, a verse stuck out to me; “Be on guard, keep awake” (13:33). In this chapter Jesus describes how there will be false teachers proclaiming to be him, leading people astray, so he commands the disciples to be watchful for His return.

Today marks the end of Cru’s Winter Conference for 2017. This year’s conference gathered over 1,000 students from about 69 campuses around California, Arizona and Hawaii. For those of you who were not able to join us, the theme of the conference was Compassion, and following are a few morsels your fellow bears wanted to share from their experiences this weekend. 

Hard to believe a week from tomorrow will be the start of the Spring Semester. If you’re reading this and starting to hyperventilate, know that there’s still a solid 168 hours before those classes begin!

The morning after is always a letdown.

December 26th feels hollow: the magic has come and gone, Santa ate all my cookies, I am one day closer to going back to work/school, and I didn’t get you for Christmas after all.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and no, I’m not talking about Christmas. That’s right, it’s finals week!

I’m sorry, that probably isn’t actually the most accurate statement about finals week. What words could we replace “wonderful” with… Stressful? Crazy? Sleep deprived?
